Bob and Jim Exclusive: Kylian Mbappe joins Man Utd
By Jim James
The footballing world has been left gaping as Kylian Mbappe has agreed a deal with Manchester United, according to many reliable sources.
The deal was meant to be made official this morning, with Manchester United even posting an official announcement on their Twitter page, before quickly deleting it as details needed to be ironed out.
The move now however is completed and signed, and Manchester United now just have to wait for the Premier League to accept the World Cup winner as a United player and it will be announced.
This deal has come from absolutely nowhere and has shocked the footballing world, and the United and Real Madrid faithful. The deal will also indirectly see Cristiano Ronaldo join PSG for 15m pounds in the summer as Mbappe’s replacement.
Apparently, Manchester United have snapped up the Frenchman for 5 years on an increasing deal, seeing him make 30m pounds in his first year and increasing it gradually to 75m pounds in his last, a world record salary. It would be 1.44 million pounds a week (1.74 million euros), or 2 pounds 34 pents per SECOND. He’ll make TWO HUNDRED SIXTY FIVE MILLION POUNDS over the course of the 5 years.
Mbappe will wear the number 9 shirt and will be the leader of this Manchester United project. They are expected to go for many other frenchmen over the course of the summer to accompany mbappe, including Zidane, Kante, the Hernandez brothers, and Ousmane Dembele.
Real Madrid have taken this as quite a shock, but president Florentino Perez is expected to “Keep pushing for him anyway” as the deal hasn’t been made official quite yet. Their backup plan is of course, Erling Haaland, and they’re going to be diverting all resources to get him to the Bernabeu. If Haaland doesn’t sign, they’re going to go for Lautaro Martinez, Rafael Leao, and Alex Isak with their superb funds.
This appears to be a deal that will become to wages what Neymar’s PSG move did to transfer fees. Upon commenting on the matter, Pep Guardiola has said that “I’m going to be looking forward to the Manchester Derby in the coming years, it might be the 2020s version of El Clasico.”
As for what this does for Barca? Ousmane Dembele has always been enthralled with the idea of playing alongside Mbappe, and now that he can do it without crossing the El Clasico border, he is pushing hard for a Man Utd move.
Mbappe will of course join in July and he’ll bring a great spark to the Premier League again, maybe even putting Man Utd back in serious title contention.
APRIL FOOLS!
Gotcha.
