Reacting to trades on tradenba.com – part 1

Reacting to trades on tradenba.com

My first reacting article. This, in my opinion, is a new flavour for the site. I will be naming users by the team they’re a fan of, like for an example, Raptors fan #1, Warriors fan #1, etc. I will be listing the details of the trade and rating it on a 1-10 scale for each team and overall, the impact of the trade according to tradenba.net, and a description underneath. That is all the explaining I really need, so let’s get started!

Trade #1 – 4 team blockbuster

By Grizzlies Fan #1

Boston receive:

JJ Redick

Mike Scott

Atlanta 2023 2nd round via Philly

Lakers 2021 1st round via Pelicans

Impact: +6 wins

Clippers Receive

Lonzo Ball

Semi Ojeleye

Knicks 2021 2nd round via Philly

Impact: No change

Pelicans Receive

Furkan Korkmaz

Romeo Langford

Reggie Jackson

Atlanta 2022 2nd round via Clippers

Blazers 2023 2nd round via Clippers

Impact: -3 wins

76ers receive

Lou Williams

Patrick Patterson

Impact: -3 wins

Boston rating:

8/10

They got a steal here. JJ Redick, a solid 3 point shooting vet, Mike Scott, making up good Power Forward depth, and a first rounder, for Semi Ojeleye and Romeo Langford. That isn’t a very logical deal, and they got an absolute steal.

Clippers rating:

4/10

Lou Williams, Reggie Jackson, multiple second round picks, for Lonzo Ball? That is just not smart stuff. They’ve threw away a lot of depth for a question mark. Just not great.

Pelicans rating

2.5/10

Just a few small bits of depth for 2 solid starting guards. They also had to give up a first rounder for 2 second rounders. This is confusing, why would you do this deal? It is head scratching.

76ers rating

7/10

The 76ers, like the Celtics, got a great trade here. Lou Williams is the main piece and all they had to give up was Furkan Korkmaz, Mike Scott and a couple of second rounders. Great business, and they did amazing here.

Overall: 6/10

The Celtics and Sixers accept this one, but not the Clippers or Pelicans. It makes them worse overall, and especially with the Clippers, who are looking to contend and it makes them worse off overall, so I don’t see them accepting, especially.

Trade #2 – Craziest Trade in NBA HISTORY – NBA Fan 1

Pacers Receive:

Kevin Durant

Kyrie Irving

James Harden

Nets Receive:

Myles Turner

Domantas Sabonis

Caris Levert

Malcolm Brogdon

Goga Bitadze

Jeremy Lamb

Doug McDermott

TJ Warren

TJ McConnell

Pacers rating:

6.5/10

It is not often that you trade for the big 3 and receive just a 6.5/10. But they traded away so much depth, they will need to sign a lot of free agents to make up the numbers. But the big 3 alone can get you at least to the playoffs, if not a finals or even a ring.

Nets rating:

7/10

They traded away their big 3 yes, but look at everything they received. They received basically the entire pacers roster, along with getting Caris Levert back to create another potential early 2000’s Pistons. Amazing return.

Trade Rating: 10/10

Wow. What a trade. Now, I didn’t say these had to be realistic so this trade can be here. And yes, this trade was successful somehow, and, I am speechless here. A brilliant trade that if it happened in real life, would forever be in the record books.

Anyway those were the trades, I know there were only 2, but I plan on making another sometime in the near future, and see you next time!
