Rebuilding FC Barcelona on every FIFA since FIFA 14 Part 3: FIFA 16

Rebuilding FC Barcelona on every FIFA since FIFA 14 Part 3: FIFA 16

I usually don’t get to Part 3 on series I make, so woohoo to me. This is the last FIFA that I don’t know like the back of my hand, after this one, we’ll be flying. If you haven’t see the last 2 parts go see them now, and if you have, let;s move forward into the accolades of FIFA 15.

Top Scorer of FIFA 15: Neymar, 160 goals

Top 3 signings:

  1. Mario Gotze
  2. Thibault Courtois
  3. Maximillian Beister

Season 1

I start with $100 million, and I want an oober young theme this FIFA, so I sell Rakitic some older players (Rakitic, Alba, Masip, Sandro, Mathieu, Bartra, Roberto, and Rafinha) and bring in younger ones (Marin, Onomah, Mastour, Rashford, Cerny, Neves, Embolo, Verratti, and De Gea).

Also credit to Jacob King for helping me in this window. Thanks mate.

We skip the January transfer window and yet again I forgot to turn on the champions League 1st season, so no UCL.

In season one We win 26, draw 5 and lose 7 in the league, getting us 2nd, we lost the Copa Del Rey Final to Real Madrid, but we have a lot of improvement. Suarez 91, Neymar 91, Verratti 86, Alaba 86, Mascherano 85, Pique 86, Alves 85, De Gea 87, Turan 85 are among the growth in our team.

Season 2

Starting with $105 million, I’m looking to A) Make the Defense younger, B) Sign more young wonderkids, C) Get Wonderkids out on loan, and D) Add Firepower to the team. Let’s see how all that goes.

I start by putting all the wonderkids we signed in the first window on the loan list for a two-year loan. That way They’ll be out of my mind for 2 whole years and if there’s a season 4 and we need them, they’ll have developed well and been on the bench.

We’ve decided to go ahead and do goals B & C in July, signing Reece Oxford, Alen Halilovic, Olivier Boscagli, and some unknown guy called Kylian Mbappe Lottin. We also got Josh Onomah and Hachim Masotur out on 2 year loans. We also sell Sergi Busquets

We’re setting up yout scout networks as I did last season but forgot to check the scout reports…

To replace Busquets we get Blaise Matuidi and in the back line we get Aymeric Laporte for a combined $80 million.

We sell Moi Delgade for $350k and Mascherano for $19m because I want Laporte to be starting. We also buy Richedly Bazoer for $22.5m to create a midfield 3 of the future; Verratti, Halilovic/Bazoer, Neves.

Approaching the ned of the window now we get Jefferson Leko, Jeisson Vargas and Steven Bergwijn, and we sell Ter Stegen for $30 million. We sign Alban Lafont to replace him.

On deadline day we sign Jonathan Tah with the spare money that we have, and we put Ruben Neves and Adrian Marin out on 2-year loans to finish a hectic transfer window tht sees us make 27 moves, we’re set for the season.

January, we don’t do much but we do get a Dani Alves replacement if he retires after the season, Serge Aurier onwards to the champions League Knockouts.

We face PSV first. A disappointing 2-2 draw in Holland, but we do have 2 away goals.

Turns out we needn’t have worried, a dominating 4-0 win in the home leg.

Man City in the quarters. The tough matchups start here. We win 2-0 in Barcelona, and 1-1 in Manchester. To the semi-finals we go!

It is Bayern who we face. We’ve beaten them multiple times over the series but it’s a new draw every time. The home leg first again, at full strength. It’s a 2-1 win. Good, but still worrying. In Bavaria now. A 1-0 WIN!!! Alaba scores in the 90th minute vs his former side to put us through! To the final.

Manchester United. The team that Jacob King helped put together is now poetically facing his favorite club. Me vs Louis Van Gaal. MSN vs Lewandowski and Rooney. The two teams who did the David De Gea-Claudio Bravo swap at the beginning of season 1. Jake thought Man U were finished after selling De Gea. Appears not. Here we go. In the 36th Minute Messi puts us 1 up, then in the 69th Jonathan Leko put us 2 up, and that’s how it stays. I know, similar to the Bayern final in FIFA 15, but FIFA is weird. WE’VE WON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Champions League final record: 3-3. This was a shorter one, but that is better for my sanity. It just is. We’re at the end of FIFAs I don’t know like the back of my hand, onwards is FIFA 17. See ya!

P.S. I know this ended early, like I said in the outro, and I know many of you, myself included, would have liked to see how the careers of players like Mbappe, Halilovic, Mastour, and others would have turned out in my save. Because of that, after FIFA 22, after which I’m going to take a career mode break and post about other projects of mine, but when I’m bck from my career mode break is over, I’m going to take the 3 saves with the shortest lifespan and play 5 more years and try to win as many trophies I can. It’ll be like it’s still the series. I suspect that this will be one of the saves in it. Bye.
