The Cristiano Ronaldo Transfer Saga: Stay or Go?
By Jim James
This summer is set to be one of the biggest transfer summers of all time, after 3 unimpressive windows, the transfers of the 4 most talked about players in the world: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, and Erling Haaland might take place. However, we are only talking about Cristiano.
He joined Juventus in 2018 after a 100 million euro move from Real Madrid, as you know, and after a bad season #1 he has been back to his old self in recent times. That being said, Juventus have just finished 4th in Serie A after winning it 9 seasons in a row, and a team of youngsters, the only real promising one being Fede Chiesa, Juventus isn’t looking great.
Cristiano Ronaldo is linked with a move almost every summer, and usually he is linked to Man U, however, other reports are linking him with PSG and even saying that recently he was offered for Mauro Icardi + cash.
Other sources say that Dos Santos Aveiro is done with new adventures and wants to go back to Man U, then Sporting. I believe he is leaving, as I have heard that Massimiliano Allegri doesn’t have the talisman in his plans. Another point of consideration; his contract expires in 2022.
A profound argument can be made for both sides as Ronaldo has said he wants to join Man U once again before he retires, while Kylian Mbappe & Neymar have publicly stated they want to play with the striker, and PSG can probably make him the better offer.
Where will he go? PSG. This is Jim James, and I’ll see you next time.
