Jacob King’s Resignation from Bob and Jim’s Sports News

Yes, you read that title correctly, I am saddened to report that as of February 2nd, 2022, I will no longer be a writer of the Bob and Jim’s Sports News team. Having worked for this blog for over a year, I can say that it has been a life changing experience on an educational and personal level. I have learned so much more about football than I could have possibly imagined throughout my year long tenure with the blog and my best wishes go to Bob, Jim and the blog, and I hope that it continues to grow even with my absence.

For those of you who may be wondering why I will be leaving the Bob and Jim’s Sports news blog as a writer, it is because I will be taking on a new role as a freelance writer for Back Page Football. It was a difficult decision at the end of the day, due to the memories and connections I had and will continue to have to the Bob and Jim’s Sports news, however the opportunity to write for Back Page Football was simply impossible to pass down. For those of you who want to keep up to date with my articles, just check out Back Page Football for articles written by Jacob King, coming out soon. However, I am certain that Bob and Jim will continue to provide you with quality content, so don’t be deterred from the blog, as I believe it is only going to continue to improve.

I may be leaving the Bob and Jim’s Sports News team as a writer, but I will not be leaving the team as a whole. Much like most of you reading, I will still be part of the team as a fan, reader and supporter of the blog. I am confident that the blog will continue to provide quality content for all of it’s fans and supporters. I intend to continue to post until February 1st, marking the one year anniversary of my humble beginnings with the blog before my resignation takes effect. Perhaps one day in the distant future, I may come back to work with Bob and Jim once more. Until then though, you can expect the articles this coming week to have a theme of nostalgia, perhaps a bit of a reflection on a great year. And on that note, this is Jacob King, and I’ll see you at full time!

  1. Hey, Jacob. It’s Jim Here. This news comes to as much of a shock to me as all our other readers, and we’re sorry to see you go.

However, I will never forget the year you spent on this blog, the posts that you created, they were phenomenal. As much as you will be missed on the blog, I feel nothing but pride in seeing you start to further your writing career for an established site. I remember, in January 2021, you starting your writing career on this blog, and writing is now a gene you can further yourself on.

I wish you all the best on your future writing endeavors for Back Page Football and any other websites who may acquire your services in the future. Who knows, you may see Jacob King on ESPN one day. I’ll see you at full time too, Jake.
